Beautiful Day in Windham!

It was a Saturday evening, very early June and a rather quiet day in the gallery. A few people came in - including Lisa Lebofsky who has three luminous paintings in our current show (all sold!) We had a lovely chat - she was in the area to go hiking and it was a perfect day for that. I hope she enjoyed Windham high peak! But I must confess that my favorite part of Saturday happened when I skipped out a few minutes early to catch the T-Ball game happening on South Street. It was WFA pARTners vs GNH Lumber - all the little kids (7yrs and under) out on the sunny ball field getting their brains and bodies wrapped around the basics - catching, throwing, running bases. There are some pretty hilarious moments (like when WFA third baseman tries to run with the GNH runner to home base), especially when there are at least nine kids on the field all in various states of engagement. Kudos to Jim and Jackie Todaro (and the other coaches whom I’ve yet to meet) for their good cheer, patience and willingness to coach and manage these little ones. And I heard that young Courtney Todaro is quite the little artist, so I am looking forward to seeing her work, which I hear is currently on display on the fridge - where all true artists start out!! So, no real art comments here, just sharing a bit of the art of life, which last Saturday included a little ballgame, a sunny field nestled in the mountains, and zero agenda! (Who won you ask?? It’s T Ball, it doesn’t matter at all! But if you stop in the gallery, you might hear me braggin, just a wee wee bit…)
