Last chance to see WFA’s first winter show, “Beholden to Beauty” - Featuring Works by Kevin Cook, Mireille Duchesne, Lisbeth Firmin.

As the title of the show suggests, some painters can do no better than to make it their life practice to pay homage to beauty.  Whether it’s a landscape, still life, or figurative work, they struggle to make the arcane beauty all around them accessible to others through the vehicle of the painted surface and their chosen palette.

This December, Windham Fine Arts Gallery pays tribute to such ‘beauty-stricken’ painters.  We encourage you to come in and experience for yourself Kevin Cook’s romantic landscapes, depicting fabulous regional beauty, the exquisitely rendered still lifes of Mireille Duchesne, who notices the beauty in everyday objects, or Lisbeth Firmin’s street-based scenes illuminating the beauty of ordinary people well-incorporating into their settings.  Truly diverse and inspiring, there will be something for everyone hanging on the walls this holiday season at the gallery… We look forward to seeing you here!

Show opens December 17 and runs through January 9. Opening reception Saturday, December 17, 3-5 pm.
