A Cold & Wintry Weekend

Windham enjoyed a snow-prettified, if bitter cold Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend

If you were a skier, snowtuber or otherwise cold-weather outdoor enthusiast, this holiday weekend certainly delivered!  Maybe it was the bitter-cold temperatures and traces of snow still left on the ground, but it finally feels like the winter season has come to the mountaintop.  In the spirit of ruddy cheeks and numbing noses, WFA’s current exhibit (”White Spaces: Lisa Lebofsky, Solo”) reflects the temperature of the season perfectly!  Based on Lebofsky’s recent trip to the arctic, the exhibition showcases renderings of Antarctica’s glacial feats of natural architecture painted on cold aluminum with cool blues, crisp whites and soft grays.  Viewed from different angles, these paintings transform, shifting into and out of visibility under differing lighting conditions…  They are truly magical!

So, after you’ve had your fill of rushing down the slopes or spinning in that snowtube, and after you’ve finished up that warming mug of hot chocolate, come on over to the gallery and see these gems for yourself!
