“A River Runs Through It”
In spite of silly amounts of rain, we had a wonderful time at the 5th annual plein air event of new work by nine artists that feature the Hudson River: Ella Yang, Linda Richichi, Elissa Gore, Deborah Dorsey, Kim Do, Susan Cottle, Kevin Cook, James Coe and Bruce Bundock. I was impressed with the work that came in, especially since this Spring (and now summer) has been so rainy! We even had a special performance by Kim Do and his partner in musical mischief, Kevin Van Hentenryck! They know how to croon and rock! This show will be up through August 9th so you will certainly get a look-see if you didn’t make it to the opening. Come on in!
We had a special double header: musician Tom Conlon came over from
Marblehead, MA and gave a lovely, intimate performance to those who stuck around after the reception. Also some of our friends from out of town as well as in the community came around just to listen and share some beverages at the tables! We hope to do more in this singer-songwriter vein, possibly even creating a special series, so if you like the idea, come on in and support or post a note and let me know you want more! Tom is a friend of Brooke Campbell who performed for us in March, so thanks for passing his name along to us, Brooke!
May you all have a Happy and safe Fourth of July!

Thanks for a great evening.
I really enjoyed the concert. It’s a shame the turnout was slim.
You might want to give a heads up to the Windham chamber a couple of weeks in advance for any concert or opening. They can put it up on the web site and also do an eblast to the membership. it’s free. this might be something you can do yourself on the link to your site from the chamber’s. Ask Jane Person how it works.
I always hear that there’s nothing to do in Windham. The sad truth is that support for most happenings are small. My biggest fear is that the folks running these things might get discouraged and at some point stop altogether.
I do my best to always spread the word and attend these things. after all it’s a community effort and these types of things just makes coming to Windham a little more worth while.
I look forward to the next event
Thanks again
