Catskill Gallery Assocation

The Catskill Gallery Association is pleased to present the Second Annual Catskill Village Artist Studio Tour, Columbus Day Weekend, Saturday, October 10, 2009. The tour includes the Greene County Council for the Arts and the Thomas Cole National Historic Site, the latter of which will open its historic studio space to visitors.  This year’s program include artists’ studios in the surrounding area of Catskill as well as the Village itself.
This year’s artists include the following, with more to come:
Julie Chase and Dina Bursztyn,Tasha Depp,Linda Law, Lee Anne Morgan, Edith Marcik and Terence Barrell, Portia Munson and Jared Handelsman, Fawn Potash,
Susan Wides and Jim Holl
, Philip Howie and Sasha Cheermayeff The tour will take place from noon until 5 PM; from 5 to 8 PM, visitors are invited to join CGA galleries and special Main Street locations for a street-long post-tour reception, enjoy refreshments and conversation with area artists as you visit exhibitions and special installations.Participating galleries include:M Gallery, Union Mills, Brik, The Greene County Council on the Art, Open Studios, Play of Light, Gallery 42, Terenchin Fine Art, Day and Holt, The Galleria Catskill
The tour is free.  All participants must sign up at the following CGA locations to receive a button and a map of tour sites:  Cedar Grove, The Thomas Cole National Historic Site, 218 Spring Street, Catskill.The Greene County Council on the Arts, 398 Main Street, Catskill  Please e-mail David V.
