The elevators from the loading dock open and I smell fresh paint, mmm, and sawdust, and energy! What goes on behind the scenes of an art fair? A mild sort of chaos, dollies loaded with carefully wrapped packages containing the artists’ and exhibitors’ offerings, the sounds of hammering, chatter between booths:
