A fine art gallery nestled in the Catskill mountain resort town of Windham, WFA is neither “white cube” nor “quaintly cluttered.” The atmosphere is casual, local and intimate. The contemporary artists we represent work in diverse styles and subjects: Contemporary Realism, Impressionistic, Classical/Traditional, and Abstraction.

Director Marie Christine Case, a native born upstater, blends a deep appreciation of the unique local character and beauty with an energetic urban aesthetic, developed through twenty years as a NYC resident. Creating a gallery experience where art is engaged both by visitors and serious collectors alike is the genuine mission of WFA. In keeping with the aesthetic of “live local, think global,” Ms. Case strives to balance the  support of the best local artists with the desire to bring to the mountaintop excellent new work from artists across the US and abroad.

WFA has been open continuously since 2001 and is a part of the Windham community. In addition to the traditional “Opening Reception” for each exhibition, WFA hosts the Windham Chamber Music Festival receptions, a Wine and Art Auction to benefit the Adaptive Sports Foundation at Windham Mountain, and sponsors a T-Ball team (WFA “pARTners”)! We also create fun events centered around art – private art parties (in gallery or in home), performances by independent touring musicians, wine tastings, plein-air BBQs.  Always, as Art is part of Life, Art is integral to the experience!
